How we chose these apps

We picked widely used examples of three product types: cash advances, earned-wage advances and online instalment loans. We only included a cost if the provider’s own page stated it. Where we could not confirm a figure, we left it out instead of estimating it.

How to compare them

Apps we left out

We also looked at other apps and lenders but could not confirm their current prices on their own pages, so they are not in the table.

Common questions

Is this a ranking of the best loan apps?

No. Apps are listed alphabetically. AppLoans has no affiliate, sponsored or advertising relationship with any of them, and being listed is not a recommendation.

Why does a cash advance with a small fee have a high APR?

APR spreads a fee over a year. A $3.99 fee on a $100 advance repaid in 14 days works out to about 104% APR. That is our calculation, using the method in the APR guide.

Where do these numbers come from?

Each row comes from the provider’s own pricing or product page, checked on October 24, 2026. Prices change, so check the app before you accept.
